We celebrated Jesus The Bread of Life, week 4 and the lives of two martyrs who gave their lives voluntarily so other people could live: Jonathan Myrick Daniels a 26 yr. old Seminarian who pushed a young woman out of the way and took a shotgun blast to his chest in her place, and Fr. Maximilian Kolbe who in 1941 took the place of a young father and husband in Auschwitz so the young man could live and hopefully return to his family. On Sunday, June 23, 2024, we celebrated PRIDE WEEK 4 of 5 during PRIDE Month. We also relicensed our Servants of the Eucharist, our Eucharistic Lay Ministers. These three women have been relicensed annually to serve in public ministry for over eighteen years. The LGBTQSIANE2ss+ Community is indebted to faithful servants such as Tami, Veronica, and Lisa. The readings in this worship event are about the Fruits of the Spirit and some of the Gifts of the Spirit. News Release: A Change In A Practice: October 29. 2022.
Dear Members and Friends,
On October 28, 2022 at the monthly meeting of the Ray Of Hope Church Council, we decided to stop passing the collection plate during worship. With this change, we aim to make first-time visitors and everyone more comfortable.
Instead, we will use the wall-mounted donation box next to the door to receive donations and offerings. Donation envelopes are available on the hospitality table by the door. Drop your offering/donation into the box before, during, or after the worship event. Additionally, the electronic links in the bulletin, on Facebook, and on our website are always available. We will pray a prayer of thanksgiving and sing the Doxology at the offering time during the worship event.
Those who regularly attend Ray Of Hope understand the church's responsibility of being able to meet our financial obligations, and we trust each person to use the available ways of contributing to the Treasury of Ray Of Hope Church. Finally, the Council understands this idea as one more step towards modernizing our practices.

Persons of all sexual orientations and all gender expressions are present in our congregation. There is a place for you too. God has created, blessed, ordained and set into motion all sexual orientations and gender expressions. It is up to us to own, live and celebrate these wonderful gifts of God. The 40th Anniversary of the founding of Ray Of Hope Church of the LGBTQSIANE2ss+ Community of Central New York State, in Elmira, NY was celebrated on Sunday, October 29, 2023. The Congregation was started on October 31, 1983 on HALLOWEEN, or the EVE of the FEAST OF ALL SAINTS, ALL HALLOWS EVE. It is also the anniversary of the REFORMATION!
